God will meet you where you are at

Luke Chapter 3 – Today’s thought: God will meet you where you are at: “…The Word of God came to John, the son of Zacharias, in the wilderness.” 2 AMP

I love this as it is a direct fulfillment to the prophecy found in Isaiah and verses 4-6 repeat it:

A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all people will see God’s salvation.’”

This chapter talks about John the Baptist going all around the country of Jordan preaching that all men should repent to be forgiving of their sins (3). I was recently in Jordan and saw the sites believed to be where John lived in the wilderness and where Christ would have been baptized. The sky was amazing and you could see this story come alive and almost hear God from heaven saying: “This is My Son, My Beloved, in Him I am well pleased and delighted.” 21

The chapter closes out listing the genealogy of Jesus. How was that record kept all those generations? Things that certainly should make you go hm. So, I say when you don’t know something, go find out! And when you do, let us all know of your findings.

In the meantime,…

to the dark world around you.
