which way is the proper way for the tp roll

If I refill it, it goes to the back.

If my spouse does, it rolls over top.

Which way do you think is the proper way? Please comment below and we can have a tally to see whose a winner, but does it really matter?

I used to think so! I would even switch it or demand it be put on the ‘right’ way. But, is there really a ‘right’ way and is it a battle worth arguing over? I have grown to think not.

The Bible is clear when it tells us to yield our rights. Shouldn’t this always be the case with those closest to us?

If a co-worker is in a tizzy, help them through.

If your sibling is being impatient, be more patient for them.

If a child is having a hard time finding their way, guide them.

These matters are much more important than ‘discussions’ about toilet paper rolls. But, sometimes we make the insignificant more significant instead of dealing with the real issues of life.

Be a chum and help in ways that sometimes may go unspoken, overlooked, or unthanked. Help anyways!

And please, just leave the roll how it is and smile when you see it. Let it remind you that you have someone to share the place you call home with instead of letting petty annoyances rob you of the joy life should bring.

Use this verse as a prayer to God: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51.10

In the end, if we can apply the following I bet that tp roll won’t be so annoying after all and is there really a right or wrong way for it to go? If so, do tell which way is the right way for the tp roll.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.” Philippians 2.3-7

When we apply the above, you guessed it…

we will…
