It seems every town square or center has some kind of monument to honor war heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect and preserve our freedoms. But, what about the vets that still live among us. We need to hear their stories, we need to embrace their lives, we need to thank them for their service.
See a vet – thank a vet.
See some vets eating out or having coffee, pick up the tab. A small monetary investment on your part will speak volumes to their hearts.
What gesture can you conjure up to honor a vet? Please comment so we all can take heed.
Our war heroes need to know their service was not in vain. And who knows, your act of kindness might just be the seed to spark them sharing their stories and in spending time with each other, you can share your faith and let them know you thank God for them.
We all need encouragement, but our forgotten war heroes may need a little more because so often they are neglected and well, just plain forgotten.
Don’t just pass by those monuments you come across in your travels, let them prompt you and remind you to thank a vet!
In doing so you will
and the world will be a better place.
To all who have served in any branch of the military or are active first responders, I personally thank you all for your service and dedication to keeping others safe. May God bless you and keep you in His loving care.
This President’s day, be grateful for all the great leaders that have come before. Their sacrifices paved the way for our present freedoms. It is still the month of ‘love’ so please show some by honoring our war heroes.
