love notes *

W ho doesn’t enjoy a little note to know you are loved or appreciated?

I bet you would love one right now or are thinking of someone you should send one to. Do it!

I have always been a words person and so undoubtedly one of my love languages is words of affirmation. (And if you don’t know what I am talking about here – look up the blogs on love languages or get Gary Chapman’s book The 5 Love Languages.)

I don’t always get the words I crave but I do try to always give some away.

When you speak life into another, you can almost see the walls crumble or the hard heart soften. Send the words when they come to mind whether it be monthly, weekly, or daily they will always be appreciated.

Maybe on the 14th of every month because it doesn’t just have to be Valentine’s Day that love is remembered to be written down. Or perhaps a birthdate or anniversary date and use that day every month to send some love. Be creative and get those words sent. Need help? Check out hallmark cards to be inspired or send a quote you thought was inspiring. You could send a Bible verse or simply the words : ‘thinking of you and thought I would remind you that you are loved.’

So don’t have the thought I should send a note, stop right now and do it.

And remember, as it says in Proverbs 18.21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” use your words to bring life and a love note might just do the trick as you strive to… to those you hold dear or whomever the Holy Spirit prompts you to send a little note to; it may just be the very thing that uplifts their soul and reminds them they are not forgotten and loved!

*Inspired by the story of what another does in their life – namely sending out texts of love to family members whenever they come to mind but usually weekly or at a minimum monthly. You go do the same.
